Almighty Motion Picture Affirms Trademark Rights to ‘Meena Kumari’
Almighty Motion Picture has issued an important clarification regarding its exclusive rights to the name ‘Meena Kumari’ for all film and audiovisual projects. This announcement comes after the studio completed the screenplay for a new feature film bearing the same title. The studio made it clear that any use of the name for films, web series, or other audiovisual content without prior permission will be considered unauthorized and may result in legal action.
This statement follows the studio’s recent releases, including the supernatural thriller, Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery, and the biographical drama, Made in India: A Titan Story. Almighty Motion Picture has reportedly made its legal position known through public notices in various trade magazines and national media, reinforcing its trademark claims.
The screenplay for the biopic on Meena Kumari has taken nearly four years of research and development to complete and is now finalized, with production expected to begin in the coming months.
Prabhleen Sandhu, the Co-Founder of Almighty Motion Picture, emphasized, “The Indian film industry is like one big creative family, and we are issuing this clarification to maintain transparency and prevent any future misunderstandings. Protecting our trademark, along with the hard work that has gone into this project, is crucial for us. We are excited to move forward with production following the positive response to our recent films.”
The studio is anticipated to reveal the director and cast for the Meena Kumari biopic in the upcoming months.
