Ajay Devgn’s much-anticipated film Drishyam 3 is set to hit theaters on October 2, 2026, following the completion of its shoot. The Hindi version follows the release of the original Malayalam film, which premiered on May 21.
Unlike its predecessors, the Hindi adaptation of Drishyam 3 promises notable changes. A reliable source in the industry mentioned that while the first two Hindi films remained quite faithful to their original versions, this latest installment will take a different approach. The story and its twists have been significantly altered, aiming to present a fresh experience while still respecting the essence of the Drishyam universe.
The film also boasts strong performances from a talented cast. Alongside Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran, actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj have been praised for their contributions to the film. Director Abhishek Pathak stated in a recent interview that both the Malayalam and Hindi versions will maintain the same emotional core. However, the Hindi version will lean towards being a family thriller, diverging from the more traditional emotional drama found in the Malayalam edition.
In terms of music, Drishyam 3 features compositions by Ravi Basrur, known for his work in hits like KGF and Salaar. Basrur previously collaborated with Devgn on Bholaa and is also involved in the upcoming Singham Again.
The film’s production is a joint effort by Panorama Studios and Star Studio18, under the direction of Abhishek Pathak. The writing team includes Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan, and Parveez Shaikh, with producers such as Alok Jain and Ajit Andhare on board to bring this thriller to life.
