Shilpa Shinde Responds to Controversy Over False Harassment Claims

Shilpa Shinde is back in the spotlight following her recent admission that her past allegations of sexual harassment against a producer from the hit sitcom “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain” were untrue. This revelation has ignited significant discussions on social media, leading to criticism from various celebrities and fans. In response, Shilpa took to her Instagram to address the backlash.

In her video, Shilpa did not name anyone specifically but expressed her frustration towards those questioning her reasons for speaking out now. “People keep asking, ‘Why are you on social media now?’ I wish they would stop using my name for their own publicity,” she said.

She continued with a strong message: “If you want to dig up the past, remember that I am still here to speak my truth. I wish peace for those no longer with us, but my heart cannot carry the weight of a lie.” Shilpa emphasized that she felt compelled to come forward to correct the record, stating, “I can’t live with a lie on my heart.”

Reflecting on her decision after all these years, she pointed out that had she received support back then, things might have been different. “I was fighting alone and I still am. If I had gone through the legal system then, it might have turned out differently for me,” she said.

Shilpa also shared her thoughts on how her statements have been twisted in the media. “People often misinterpret what I say. I’m living my life peacefully, so why can’t others let me be?” she added, affirming her commitment to speaking the truth despite the criticism.

She concluded by thanking those who have supported her after her recent podcast appearance, stating that she hopes her honesty will inspire others to share their stories. As Shilpa navigates this renewed controversy, reactions continue to flood in on social platforms.
