Bosch Teams Up with Humanoid to Boost Manufacturing with AI Robots

Bosch, a major player in manufacturing, has teamed up with the British company Humanoid to integrate advanced robots into its factories. This partnership aims to enhance production efficiency and innovation.

Earlier this year, Bosch and Humanoid launched a proof of concept project where human-like robots were tested at Bosch’s logistics center in Bühl, Germany. These robots were tasked with managing various box sizes and proved capable of scanning and handling items from different conveyor systems in real-time.

Now that the proof of concept has been successfully completed, Bosch and Humanoid are moving forward with a manufacturing agreement. This deal will focus on producing the HMND 01 humanoid robots for the European market.

Artem Sokolov, founder and CEO of Humanoid, highlighted the significance of this agreement, stating, “It marks an essential step in our journey, connecting the validation of our robots to their larger deployment. Our aim has always been to make the transition from innovation to real-world application smoother.”

With Bosch as a strong manufacturing ally, Humanoid is eager to bring these robots into industrial settings, advancing their use in logistics and manufacturing.

This collaboration comes shortly after Humanoid announced another partnership with German manufacturer Schaeffler, emphasizing the growing interest in robotics within the industry.

Peter Svejkovsky, head of corporate intellectual property at Bosch, commented, “We believe in the vast potential of robotics in manufacturing. With our extensive production capabilities and expertise, we are well-positioned to transition from prototypes to large-scale manufacturing of these advanced robots.”
