Akshay Kumar Begins New Film Schedule in Kerala with Vidya Balan

Actor Akshay Kumar is back in action as he starts filming in Kerala for his latest project with director Anees Bazmee. This marks a reunion for the star and the filmmaker, who last worked together nearly 15 years ago. Akshay will be joined by co-star Vidya Balan for this outdoor shoot in the beautiful landscapes of Kerala.

Sharing his enthusiasm on social media, Akshay posted a video from his journey, expressing his excitement: “Next stop: God’s own country, the magical Keralam. Anees Bazmi’s next is my fourth film with the ever-fabulous Vidya Balan, and I hope the good luck charm of our jodi continues.”

This new film is particularly special for Akshay and Vidya, as it is their fourth on-screen collaboration, following their previous successful films.

The project is said to be inspired by the Telugu film Sankranthiki Vasthunam, focusing on a lead character caught between his wife and ex-girlfriend. However, Anees Bazmee is reworking the story to better suit Hindi audiences while keeping its essential premise.

The Kerala shoot will feature several key sequences that will advance the film’s storyline. Given the duo’s past successes, there is a lot of anticipation surrounding this project.

In the meantime, Akshay Kumar is currently featured in the film Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. The film, which includes a talented cast like Paresh Rawal and Tabu, has performed well at the box office since its release on April 16, earning a solid ₹65.25 crore over the opening weekend.
