The legal dispute over the film Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy has taken a new turn as the Delhi High Court has postponed the hearing on Salman Khan’s request to pause the film’s release until July 6. No temporary order has been placed against the movie, prompting producer Amit Jani to respond on social media.

Salman Khan has brought his concerns to the Delhi High Court, arguing that the film infringes on his personal rights by using references to him and his life. He has objected to promotional materials that allegedly feature a lookalike wearing his signature blue bracelet, along with mentions of his past legal troubles, including the 1998 blackbuck poaching case and his disputes with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Amit Jani Reacts After Court Hearing

Following Wednesday’s court session, Amit Jani took to X (formerly Twitter) to express that Salman Khan did not gain any relief from the court and that no ban was placed on the film. Jani stated, “Salman Khan still hasn’t received any help from the Delhi High Court today, and the film is still on track. Hearing has been postponed until July 6. I’ve mentioned before that the court doesn’t recognize stars or glamour. Even if someone claims to be the ‘father of Bollywood,’ it won’t stop this film from releasing in 8,000 theaters worldwide.”

Producer Indicates Film’s Status with CBFC

During the court proceedings, the producer’s lawyer informed Justice Jyoti Singh that Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy has not yet been submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for approval. When the court inquired about the film’s release date, the counsel clarified that it was not scheduled for release and that no film can debut without CBFC certification. They assured the court that the producers would not approach the censor board until after the next hearing.

With these developments, the court decided to postpone the hearing on Salman Khan’s request for an interim injunction until July 6.
