Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin Aims for ‘Dravidian Model 2.0’ in Upcoming Elections

On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin emphasized that the upcoming 2026 assembly elections are a crucial opportunity to establish the “Dravidian Model 2.0” government. His aim is to continue driving the state’s development and to counteract those he believes have let the Tamil people down.

With elections just a day away, he called upon DMK supporters to work closely together to ensure that every vote meant for the party is accounted for. In a letter addressed to party workers titled “Victory is Certain! Vigilance is Essential,” Stalin noted that the citizens of Tamil Nadu hold high hopes for the new government model, citing significant achievements from the previous Dravidian model that have benefited families across the state.

Stalin also took a moment to criticize the AIADMK-led NDA, claiming, “People have realized that voting for AIADMK is like voting for the BJP.” He added that voters are aware of attempts by the BJP to expand its influence in Tamil Nadu.

During his campaign, he recounted positive interactions with voters, who reminded him of promises outlined in the DMK’s 2026 manifesto, such as a monthly allowance of ₹2,000, an ₹8,000 coupon for housewives, modern motor pumps for farmers, and the inclusion of artificial intelligence in college education.

Stalin urged party workers to stay vigilant and active on election day. He stressed that booth agents should arrive at polling stations at least 90 minutes early and be the first to cast their votes. He encouraged them to ensure that all votes supporting the DMK and its allies are recorded efficiently.

In closing, he reiterated the importance of teamwork and careful execution of tasks at polling stations to make sure that not a single vote in favor of the party is overlooked.
