Good morning, everyone! Welcome to the Good News Roundup at Gnuville University! Here, we explore the positive news that uplifts our spirits and strengthens our communities.
We strive to rise above the gloom often portrayed in mainstream media and by those in power, focusing instead on the positives happening around the country.
The Good Gnus community comprises readers, writers, activists, and supporters. We gather daily at 7 a.m. ET to celebrate uplifting stories. While some of our members are part of Daily Kos, anyone is welcome to join the Gnusies!
As a community, we often create our own good news. Together, we are united and resilient, returning to these pages to recharge and share joy.
In each Good News Roundup, the burden of sharing positivity is shared among all of us, with many contributing uplifting stories in the comments.
We spread, celebrate, and generate good news together. Our members actively engage in real-life activities to promote justice and positivity.
Please share your good news in the comments section!
What We Gained and Lost in the Transition to a New Platform
Wins:
- Faster: Webpages load quickly.
- Lighter: Less heavy on memory.
- More secure: Enhanced security features.
Losses:
- Trending lists are gone, which means we can’t easily see popular stories.
- Polls within stories are no longer available.
- No shortcuts for navigating comments.
- Limited font options in comments.
- Ability to follow individual members has been removed; remember to bookmark our two tags:
- GNR
- Good News Roundups
If I’ve missed anything regarding our changes, please feel free to share in the comments!
Tech Tidbits

- Only authors can add tags in DK6.
Comments Troubleshooting
If you encounter a “Comments didn’t load” message, try refreshing the page by pressing Ctrl + R on a PC or Cmd + R on a Mac. This often resolves the issue.
Accessing Group Chats
- Go to your profile by clicking your avatar at the top right corner.
- Select ‘Groups’ from the ribbon at the top.
- Click on the Group you wish to chat with.
- Choose ‘Activity’ to see open Group Chats.
Note: The new platform doesn’t notify you about Group Chats, so regular checks are needed!

We welcome comments about:
