Weather Update: Pleasant Relief Sweeps Over Lucknow
Lucknow experienced a refreshing change in weather on Tuesday morning as overcast skies and occasional rain provided a welcome break from rising temperatures. Throughout the day, residents observed a mix of clouds and sunny intervals.
By evening, a brief thunderstorm swept through the city, bringing light rain and strong winds that reached speeds of up to 55 km/h. This change further alleviated the hot and humid conditions.
According to the meteorological department, these pleasant weather patterns are expected to continue until Thursday. Mohammad Danish, a senior scientist at the IMD Lucknow, explained that the current weather is influenced by a Western Disturbance affecting regions in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Punjab, along with a cyclonic circulation over western Uttar Pradesh.
Danish noted, “A new Western Disturbance is set to arrive in western UP on April 7, which will impact various areas of the state on April 8. It is anticipated to weaken by April 9. This system will bring gusty winds, rain, and thunderstorms to many parts of Uttar Pradesh, likely resulting in a temperature drop of about 5 to 6 degrees Celsius. By April 10, we expect clearer and drier conditions.”
Overall, this shift in weather is a welcome change for residents, offering a break from the heat and humidity of recent days.
