Hera Pheri 3: Writer Rohan Shankar Addresses Exit Rumors

The excitement around Hera Pheri 3 keeps growing, but recent chatter regarding writer Rohan Shankar has sparked controversy. Speculation arose that Shankar was leaving the comedy sequel, but he has swiftly refuted these claims, labeling them as false.

In a social media post, Shankar expressed his frustration, stating that the rumors were misleading and based on misunderstandings of his earlier statements. He explained, “Some fake news is being spread in my name about a big film. It’s completely false and has almost no truth in it. A simple interview about my work has been taken out of context and turned into a clickbait headline. Please ignore it.”

The confusion seems to have started from an interview where Shankar discussed the various challenges the film faces. While he confirmed he was involved in the screenplay discussions, he mentioned that the project is currently experiencing delays due to ongoing legal issues. His comments regarding director Priyadarshan’s busy schedule were misinterpreted as an indication that he was leaving the film.

The third part of this beloved series, featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, has hit several snags since it was announced. One significant issue is a legal dispute over the franchise rights, which is presently in court.

Furthermore, internal challenges have also complicated the project, including creative differences that led Paresh Rawal to temporarily step back from the film earlier this year. Fortunately, Suniel Shetty helped mend the situation, bringing the team back to the table.

Despite these hurdles, Hera Pheri 3 remains highly anticipated by fans eager for the return of these cherished characters. However, with legal matters unresolved and the creative team balancing other projects, the timeline for the release remains uncertain.

Shankar’s recent clarification should put an end to concerns about his involvement, even as questions about the film’s future continue.
