India Celebrates T20 World Cup Victory at Hanuman Temple
India’s cricket team, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav and head coach Gautam Gambhir, celebrated their remarkable T20 World Cup win by taking the trophy to the Hanuman Tekri Temple in Ahmedabad. This took place just hours after India triumphed over New Zealand.
On March 8, India achieved an impressive victory, defeating New Zealand by 96 runs to defend their T20 World Cup title. This win also made India the first host nation to claim the title and successfully defend it.
After wrapping up press conferences and broadcasting duties, select players visited the Hanuman Temple near the Narendra Modi Stadium to seek divine blessings.
In the final match, India showcased a brilliant performance. Batting first, they scored a whopping 255 runs, which New Zealand couldn’t match, ending their innings at just 159 runs thanks to a standout bowling display from Jasprit Bumrah.
This victory marks India’s third consecutive ICC title from 2024 to 2026, solidifying their status as one of the leading teams in international cricket.
