New Teaser for “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups” Set for Release
The promotional campaign for Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups is gearing up to kick off on February 20, with a new teaser set to arrive at 9:35 AM. This marks the beginning of a major promotional push ahead of the film’s theatrical release on March 19.
Starring Yash, the film has generated significant buzz, especially since it marks the actor’s return to the screen after a four-year hiatus following KGF: Chapter 2. It is expected that the teaser will help set the tone for the film’s marketing efforts in the weeks leading up to its release.
The teaser comes on the heels of some controversy surrounding an earlier promotional clip released in January, coinciding with Yash’s birthday. That video faced backlash due to its portrayal of an intimate scene in a car outside a cemetery, concluding with a violent scene nearby. The location included religious imagery, leading to objections from certain groups.
The National Christian Federation filed a complaint with the Film Chamber of Commerce and reached out to state authorities, including the Chief and Home Secretaries, as well as the Central Board of Film Certification. They also claimed that the scene was disrespectful toward women.
Directed by Geethu Mohandas, who co-wrote the film with Yash, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups boasts a talented cast that includes Rukmini Vasanth, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair.
Set to debut in theaters on March 19, the film will face competition at the box office from Dhurandhar 2, which features Ranveer Singh in a leading role.
