Country music star Jessie James Decker is opening up about her health and fitness journey this year, sharing insights along with her family’s routines. In a recent Instagram post, the singer, married to former NFL player Eric Decker, showcased a gym moment where she squatted with a barbell. Her caption read, “2026 energy! LFG💪,” and her video quickly gained over 111,000 likes.
Decker’s message centered on embracing a “marriage body” rather than a “revenge body.” The video included a note urging followers to “get hotter & hotter for the person who chose us forever.” This idea struck a chord with fans and fellow celebrities alike, including actress Daniella Monet, who expressed her support in the comments.
In an interview, Decker shared some of the wellness practices that help her feel her best. Her top tip? Drink plenty of water. “Water, water, water,” she emphasized, mentioning that she keeps a bottle by her bed to sip on during the night. She credits her mother’s commitment to hydration and healthy living for her youthful appearance, saying, “My mom walks miles every day and drinks tons of water. She’s literally aging backwards.”
Alongside hydration, Decker focuses on cooking healthy meals at home. “I barely eat out,” she explained. “Everything I prepare is made from scratch.” She believes knowing what goes into her meals is crucial for good health.
Decker also encourages these habits in her children—Vivianne, Eric Jr., Forrest, and Denver. They stay active through sports, outdoor play, and family activities. “Vivi’s a gymnast, so she’s in the gym five days a week, and little Eric is always involved in sports,” Decker noted. “They’re outdoors a lot, enjoying nature rather than being glued to screens.”
Staying active is a family affair, even while traveling. Decker mentioned they often incorporate family workouts and outings, like bike rides and beach games. One sport they all love is pickleball. “We play every day,” she shared. “We even look for pickleball courts when we go on vacation!”
Jessie James Decker’s approach to health focuses on simple principles: stay hydrated, eat well, and keep moving—all while having fun as a family.
