YouTube TV Gets a Fresh Look with New Icons

Google has introduced an updated version of the YouTube TV app for Android users. This update features a new icon design that aligns well with Google’s overall style. The new icons are cleaner and more modern, making them look more appealing on Android devices.

The previous icon has now been replaced with a more streamlined, flat design. This change is part of Google’s effort to create a more consistent experience across its apps, ensuring that YouTube TV feels connected to other Google services. The updated icons are not only visually attractive, but also easier to read on various screen sizes.

While this update doesn’t change how the app works, the new look enhances the user experience. For those who use YouTube TV regularly to watch live shows, sports, and on-demand programs, the clearer visuals make it simpler to navigate the app. This refresh shows Google’s commitment to improving the app, especially as competition in the streaming industry heats up.

Upcoming Genre-Based Plans for YouTube TV

In another exciting development, YouTube has announced that YouTube TV will introduce genre-based subscription plans in early 2026. The goal is to provide subscribers with more choices and flexibility in what they watch. Currently, YouTube TV offers one plan with over 100 channels. However, next year, users will have the option to pick from more than 10 packages tailored to specific genres.

“You should have control over what you want to watch,” a representative from YouTube stated. “Our aim is to allow you to customize your subscription. Whether you stick with our main plan or choose a specific package focusing on sports, news, or family entertainment, we want to make it easy for you to find what suits you best.”
