Border 2 Takes Off with Late-Night Shows Across Theaters

The film Border 2 is off to an impressive start, receiving positive feedback from both viewers and critics. With its popularity surging, theaters are responding by adding more screenings. MovieMax, a popular cinema chain, has already organized late-night shows for the war drama on Saturday, January 24.

In Mumbai’s MovieMax Huma Kanjurmarg, attendees can watch Border 2 as late as 1:20 am. MovieMax locations in Mira Road and Sion will also feature a 1:15 am screening. Over in Pune, the MovieMax Amanora will host six shows between midnight and 8:00 am, with times including 1:15 am, 1:45 am, 2:15 am, 3:00 am, 7:00 am, and 7:30 am. Remarkably, this venue will offer a total of 30 shows for Border 2 each day. MovieMax Gold in Pune is adding three late-night screenings as well, slated for 1:15 am, 2:15 am, and 3:15 am. Meanwhile, MovieMax Nagpur will have a single show at 1:15 am.

Other cinemas are also jumping on this trend. Maxus, known for late-night screenings, will feature the film at 12:45 am, followed by a 7:00 am show at their Bhayander theater near Mumbai. At PVR Sangam in Andheri East, a 1:55 am screening is planned. As demand increases, more theaters will likely follow suit. Additionally, these late-night and early morning screenings won’t just take place on January 24 but will continue into Sunday, January 25, and Monday, January 26, which is a national holiday for Republic Day.

Border 2 stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. With the strong buzz surrounding it and extra late-night slots available, the film is set to perform remarkably well throughout the weekend and the Republic Day holiday, potentially setting new box office records for January.

The Rise of Late-Night Screenings

The trend of late-night movie showings has gained traction since the pandemic. It began with Sooryavanshi in 2021 and has been followed by other hits like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Drishyam 2, Jawan, Pathaan, and others. The film Dhurandhar was the last to have late-night shows before Border 2 made its debut.

In summary, Border 2 is not just capturing audience attention but also reshaping how films are screened, proving once again that the demand for cinema is alive and well.
