Savannah Welcomes the Gulfstream G300’s Inaugural Flight
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. proudly announces that its latest super-midsize jet, the Gulfstream G300, has successfully completed its first flight. The aircraft took off from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv at 8:05 AM local time and flew for 2 hours and 25 minutes at an altitude of 30,000 feet, reaching a speed of Mach 0.75.
This new model was officially presented on September 30 in Savannah and represents a major step forward in Gulfstream’s flight test program.
Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream, referred to the G300 as a “game changer.” He emphasized that it offers impressive features typically found in larger aircraft, all within a mid-cabin model.
Milestone Achievement and Features of the G300
The G300’s first flight follows more than 2,000 hours of rigorous ground testing. To support its certification, Gulfstream is also producing two additional test aircraft.
This jet stands out with a remarkable range of 3,600 nautical miles at a cruising speed of Mach 0.80, or 3,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.84. The aircraft benefits from efficient Gulfstream wings and Honeywell engines, delivering outstanding fuel economy.
Maintaining the lowest cabin altitude in its class, the G300 offers a comfortable cruising environment, with an altitude of just 4,800 feet when flying at 41,000 feet.
Spacious and Comfortable Interior
The G300 boasts the most spacious cabin in its segment, comfortably seating up to 10 passengers. It features ten large panoramic windows that fill the cabin with natural light, along with a well-equipped galley and ample baggage space. The cabin also benefits from 100% fresh air, a plasma air ionization system, and low noise levels for a peaceful flight experience.
Mark Burns said, “With its blend of safety, technology, performance, and comfort, the G300 truly redefines the super-midsize jet category.” He highlighted that this new investment is designed to surpass customer expectations for large-cabin amenities in a mid-sized aircraft.

The G300 is equipped with the innovative Harmony Flight Deck, featuring six touch screens that provide vital Phase-of-Flight information. The Synthetic Vision-Primary Flight Display offers a 3D view of runways and terrain, enhancing situational awareness for pilots.
