In the serene landscape of Ayodhya, where spirituality dances with the sacred, a remarkable initiative unfolds—one that addresses a pressing need amid the bustling life of the town’s inhabitants, both human and simian. The Anjaneya Sewa Trust, guided by the wise and compassionate Jagatguru Swami Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj, has embarked on a noble quest to nurture and feed monkeys, whose survival often hinges on discarded morsels. This daily endeavor seeks to extend a generous hand to these creatures who hold significant cultural reverence in Hinduism, particularly as companions of Lord Hanuman.

Enter Akshay Kumar, the much-acclaimed Bollywood luminary known for his philanthropic spirit. Upon learning of the trust’s mission, he sprang into action with a willingness that was instantaneous and heartfelt. Not merely offering words of encouragement but making a staggering donation of Rs. 1 crore to ensure that these revered animals receive sustenance every single day. It’s a gesture that underscores the rather harsh reality: despite their veneration, monkeys in Ayodhya often endure dire circumstances.

Priya Gupta, the visionary founder trustee of the Anjaneya Sewa Trust, expressed her admiration for Kumar, stating, “Akshay has always exemplified kindness—not only towards his staff and crew but to every soul he encounters. His prompt and generous contribution speaks volumes of his character.” She further highlighted that this act of benevolence is dedicated to his late parents, Hari Om and Aruna Bhatia, as well as his father-in-law, the legendary Rajesh Khanna. Kumar’s commitment extends beyond mere monetary support; it embodies a deeper social consciousness, ensuring that while these animals are provided for, the well-being of Ayodhya’s citizens remains a priority, aiming to prevent littering and disturbances in the area.

Meanwhile, returning to the realm of cinema, Akshay Kumar is currently engrossed in the final stages of shooting for the comedic extravaganza, Housefull 5. This film, boasting a sprawling ensemble cast, is set to embrace audiences on June 6, 2025, promising laughter and entertainment in equal measure.

As the world watches this intersection of compassion and celebrity unfold, one thing remains abundantly clear: in the eyes of Akshay Kumar, every act of kindness resonates profoundly, fostering a spirit of community not just among people, but extending to the very animals with whom they share this sacred space.
