Filmmaker Sandeep Singh is set to make waves in the cinematic world once more with his upcoming project, Dongri: Gangster’s Paradise. This action-packed drama will direct by Remo Gopi D’Souza, who is known for his incredible dance films but is now taking a bold step into a new genre. The screenplay and dialogues will be crafted by Milap Zaveri, who has a strong reputation for telling engaging and dialogue-rich stories.
This film will dive into the gritty underbelly of Mumbai’s gang culture, a theme that has given us some of Indian cinema’s most memorable tales. The plot revolves around a daring young contender who challenges a notorious underworld don, leading to a thrilling clash that mixes action, emotional depth, and high-stakes drama.
Commenting on this exciting collaboration, Sandeep Singh remarked, “Remo, Milap, and I have been friends for a long time. We always wanted to work together and this project feels perfectly timed. I am sure it will surprise audiences just as much as it has surprised me to see Remo take on this unique role. It’s a film that we believe will stand out under the Legend Studios banner.”
Remo Gopi D’Souza expressed his excitement about the project, saying, “This story is emotional, powerful, and deeply connected to Mumbai’s heart. It’s a genre that I’ve always wanted to explore. The script is outstanding, and I can’t wait to bring this intense rivalry to life on the big screen for audiences to enjoy.”
Milap Zaveri also shared his thoughts, stating, “Writing Dongri has been a thrilling journey. It revives the iconic crime drama with a fresh twist. I believe the combination of strong emotions, impactful dialogue, and Remo’s incredible direction will resonate with viewers and deliver the action they are looking for.”
Dongri: Gangster’s Paradise is set to begin shooting in February 2026 and is expected to hit theaters on October 9, 2026. The film is produced by Sandeep Singh and Vishal Gurnani, with co-production by Juhi Parekh Mehta, Vicky Jain, and Golden Hour Productions.
