Viksit Bharat Run Brings Together Over 100 Runners in Budapest

Budapest, Sep 29 — More than 100 participants, including volunteers and local community members, took part in the Viksit Bharat Run in Hungary. This event showcased India’s remarkable advancements in areas like infrastructure, healthcare, technology, education, and sustainability, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Organized by the Indian Embassy in Budapest in collaboration with MY Bharat and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the run took place at the Koltai Jeno Sportkozpont within the Hungarian University of Sports Science. According to the Indian Embassy, this event was part of a global celebration, with activities held in over 150 locations worldwide, emphasizing service, fitness, and sustainability.

In Budapest, the run brought together members of the Indian diaspora, local communities, students, and friends of India. This initiative was in line with the ‘Seva Parv’ observance, which runs from September 17 to October 2, allowing the community to express its dedication to PM Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

Under the theme “Run to Serve the Nation,” participants engaged in a 5-kilometer community run. The event was more than just a fitness activity; it highlighted the spirit of service and reflected PM Modi’s goal for India by 2047. It also echoed the philosophy of self-reliance and environmental consciousness.

A special moment of the day was the collective recitation of the Viksit Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Bharat Pledge, where participants vowed to contribute to India’s development journey. This act strengthened the bonds between Hungary and Indians worldwide, resonating with the Prime Minister’s vision and shared dreams of innovation and leadership.

The Viksit Bharat Run served as a platform for engaging the diaspora and motivating youth, with Indian missions partnering with local cultural and community organizations globally. It embraced the idea of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” or that the world is one family.

Emerging as one of India’s largest global outreach initiatives, this event conveyed a strong message of unity, resilience, and shared responsibility, while also showcasing India’s cultural and developmental achievements. It fostered hope and service towards creating a stronger, more inclusive India.
