Ranvir Shorey Defends Salman Khan Against Allegations of Vindictiveness
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is known for his larger-than-life persona, but his colleagues often speak of his kindness and support. Recently, actor Ranvir Shorey, who has worked with Salman in both Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger 3, came forward to defend him against claims made by filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap. Kashyap had described Salman and his family as “vindictive,” which Shorey strongly disagreed with.
In a candid interview, Shorey addressed Kashyap’s comments, stating that they might stem from a personal issue. He emphasized his positive experiences with Salman, praising him as a generous person and a supportive co-star. Shorey expressed, “I have had a great experience with him. He is very generous. I respect his family greatly too; they are all gentlemen. This might be a personal matter for Abhinav, but I don’t share that view.”
By highlighting Salman’s generosity and integrity, Shorey aimed to challenge Kashyap’s negative portrayal. He pointed out that while personal conflicts are common in the film industry, they don’t represent everyone’s experience.
Interestingly, Salman Khan initially supported Abhinav Kashyap by allowing him to direct Dabangg (2010), a film that launched Kashyap’s career. Despite this, Kashyap has been vocal in his criticisms of Salman, which has left many puzzled.
Shorey’s remarks provide an alternative view of Salman, showing him as not only a superstar but also a “generous co-actor” who uplifts those around him. Many industry insiders echo this sentiment, emphasizing that Salman’s quiet acts of kindness are just as important as his fame.
With Shorey’s defense, the conversation about Salman Khan’s reputation continues to evolve, but for many of his co-stars, one thing is clear: his generosity stands out above all else.
