Rohit Shetty, known for his action-packed films, is now planning to dive into a new genre: horror. His upcoming project will feature Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role, marking a significant shift in his filmmaking journey.

Reports suggest that Shetty has been contemplating a horror film for over a year. An insider shared, “He has always been attracted to stories that create strong emotions, and horror can evoke just as much intensity as action.” Nushrratt was reportedly his first choice for the role, especially after her impressive performance in the horror film Chhorii, where she showcased both vulnerability and strength.

The film will be directed by E Niwas, who has previously worked on titles like Shool and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. Shetty aims to ground the horror in a way that feels unsettling, a quality that Niwas is expected to bring with his unique filmmaking style. Currently, the film is in its pre-production phase.

However, it’s worth noting that Shetty’s team has issued a statement clarifying that there is no collaboration in the works regarding this project. The statement reads, "We request the media to verify information before sharing any news related to Rohit Shetty or his production house to prevent misunderstandings."

As of now, fans await more details on this intriguing venture into the horror genre.
