Indian Shooter Abhinav Bindra Praises Armed Forces Amid Tensions

Indian shooting star and Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra has publicly thanked the Indian armed forces as border tensions with Pakistan escalate. Recently, Pakistan intensified the situation by launching a barrage of drones and missiles into Indian territory, affecting regions in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan.

In response, India activated its air defense systems, successfully intercepting several fighter jets and eight missiles that targeted critical infrastructure. As the military continues to defend the nation, Bindra took to social media to express his gratitude. He said, “I am thinking of our brave personnel in uniform as they carry out operations to keep our nation safe. I am grateful for your courage, sacrifice, and service. Praying for your safety always. Jai Hind,” he posted on X.

In light of these attacks, various cricketers, including Virender Sehwag and Shikhar Dhawan, also voiced their appreciation for the Indian army while condemning Pakistan for the ongoing aggression.

Meanwhile, the recently scheduled IPL match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala was called off due to the security situation. IPL chairman Arun Dhumal mentioned that the council is awaiting government directives regarding the continuation of the tournament amid the military clash. However, the next match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru is currently slated to proceed as planned for May 9.

Dhumal asserted, “We are reviewing the situation right now. It is an evolving situation, and we haven’t received any directive from the government. Any decisions will take into account all logistics involved.”

As the nation stands united during these challenging times, the bravery and commitment of the armed forces remain at the forefront of public appreciation.
