NTA Launches Online Platform to Report NEET (UG) 2025 Suspicious Claims

Date: April 27, 2025

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the launch of a new online platform for reporting suspicious activities related to the NEET (UG) 2025 medical entrance exam. This move comes in response to the controversies stemming from the 2024 NEET-UG exam, which faced serious allegations of a question paper leak and instances of cheating in various states.

In an official statement, the NTA emphasized that candidates should remain cautious and not be misled by fraudulent claims. “Candidates are encouraged to stay vigilant against those who engage in malpractice and attempt to deceive with false information,” said NTA Director General Pradeep Singh Kharola.

Candidates can use the platform to report three specific types of suspicious activities:

  1. Unauthorized websites or social media accounts claiming to provide NEET question papers.
  2. Individuals insisting they can give access to exam content.
  3. Impersonators posing as NTA or government officials.

The NTA’s move comes after a concerning number of students scored a perfect 720 in the previous exam. Although the agency denied any leaks, multiple arrests were made nationwide tied to impersonation and cheating, including a significant arrest in Patna where Sanjeev Kumar Singh, a technical assistant at a government college, was accused of orchestrating the NEET (UG) 2024 paper leak.

The new online reporting tool permits users to document incidents, specify locations, fill in details, and upload any supporting evidence. This initiative aligns with the newly enacted Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, which imposes strict penalties for those involved in dishonest practices.

The reporting facility will remain available until 5:00 PM IST on May 4, 2025, through the NTA and NEET websites.
