Mrunal Thakur has recently addressed the swirling rumors about her potential role in the upcoming film Raaka, featuring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee. While she acknowledged the speculation during a conversation with HT City, she refrained from confirming her involvement in the project. Instead, she chose to highlight her latest film, Pooja Meri Jaan.
When asked directly about Raaka, Mrunal chuckled and noted, “I like how you assume that I am doing Raaka.” She emphasized that any announcements regarding her future projects would come from her social media platforms, saying, “I will share updates on my upcoming films soon, which should clear up any confusion.”
In addition to discussing the rumors, Mrunal reflected on her approach to selecting projects and the importance of learning from every experience. “I just want to enjoy the process. Filmmaking is all about experimenting. I believe in living and learning through each experience,” she explained.
In a previous interview, Mrunal mentioned she has not signed any new projects in nearly nine months and is eagerly waiting for a meaningful role. “Whatever announcements need to be made will be done through my social media, and then I will happily discuss them,” she stated.
Regarding Raaka, the film is set to be a sci-fi adventure featuring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee. This marks the first time the actor and director are collaborating, with a planned release in 2027. Deepika Padukone also joins the lead cast. The film has already gained attention for its remarkable achievement in real-time motion capture, with 37 performers taking part simultaneously, aiming for a Guinness World Record.
