Forbes has released its list of the world’s best employers for 2025, showcasing several companies from Vancouver that stand out for their employee support.

To compile this list, Forbes teamed up with Statista, a market research organization, to assess companies globally based on how well they treat their employees. The selection process focused on three main factors: the meaningfulness of work, competitive pay, and training opportunities in new technologies.

The survey was conducted anonymously with over 300,000 employees from more than 50 countries. Companies that could be considered for the list had to have at least 1,000 employees and operate internationally.

Participants in the survey indicated how likely they were to recommend their employer to friends and family. They also provided feedback on aspects such as salary, chances for career growth, work-life balance, and the overall reputation of their company.

In total, 900 companies from 52 countries made it onto the final list, with 30 of them based in Canada. Among those from Vancouver are two notable firms: lululemon and Telus.

Lululemon earned the 239th spot on the list. The popular athletic apparel brand has numerous job openings available and offers impressive benefits, including a monthly budget for health goals and support for employees facing challenges.

This Vancouver-based company has consistently ranked well in various employment surveys. Earlier this year, it placed second on Time’s list of Canada’s Best Companies for 2026, and it has appeared on other Forbes lists acknowledging top Canadian employers.

Telus was listed at 723rd. The telecommunications giant has 22 job openings in Vancouver. They highlight flexible work arrangements, tailored benefits, and personalized coaching as part of their offerings to employees.

Leading Canadian companies on this year’s list include Shopify at number three, Desjardins at 48, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts at 62, and Manulife at 211.
