Akshay Kumar is known for his comedic roles, and his upcoming project with director Anees Bazmee is building excitement in the film industry. Reports indicate that the distribution rights for their new film have been sold for an impressive amount of Rs. 60 crores across India.
This new film, reportedly titled “Mauja Hi Mauja,” is particularly important since it reflects one of the largest distribution deals Akshay Kumar has secured since the pandemic. A source revealed that this deal, similar to another recent project called “Monster,” is set up on a commission basis, and the distribution chain, PVR Inox, is optimistic about earning significant profits from this comedy.
The film is currently aiming for a release in 2027, but a specific date will be finalized soon by the film’s producers and Akshay Kumar. The Rs. 60 crore deal suggests that the movie needs to gross around Rs. 130 crores to break even, which sources believe is realistic for a light-hearted film like “Mauja Hi Mauja.”
In addition to Akshay Kumar, the movie features notable actors Vidya Balan and Raashi Khanna. Filming for the project was completed in July, adding to the anticipation surrounding its release.
