According to a report from the Institute for Science and International Security, satellite images taken on September 11 show that roadblocks remain in place around the western tunnel entrances of Pickaxe Mountain, which is located near the Natanz nuclear complex. The institute suggests that these barriers indicate the site is not being used for routine operations, but valuable materials may still be stored within.
The report also highlights that additional soil has been placed over certain tunnel entries, increasing protection against potential air strikes. This action is part of a broader effort that dates back to 2007, aimed at fortifying the site.
Expert Concerns About Iran’s Underground Activities
