In just two weeks, fans will get another chance to see Avengers Endgame: Encore, sparking a wave of excitement even though it is a re-release. The buzz has increased recently thanks to the blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which has reignited interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This edition, Avengers Endgame: Encore, will feature new content, including an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel film, Avengers: Doomsday.
Earlier this year, Disney introduced Infinity Vision, a certification aimed at Premium Large Format (PLF) theaters. This certification is awarded to cinemas that fulfill specific criteria regarding screen size, image quality, brightness, and sound. Avengers Endgame: Encore will be among the first films showcased on Infinity Vision-certified screens, leading up to Avengers: Doomsday, which opens in December.
Today, September 11, advance bookings for Avengers Endgame: Encore kicked off in India, unveiling some of the first Infinity Vision-certified theaters in the country. One notable location is PVR C&B Square, known as PVR Sangam, situated in Chakala, Andheri East, Mumbai. This cinema will host two screenings at 7:15 PM and 11:00 PM.
In Delhi, fans can catch the film at PVR Promenade in Vasant Kunj, also at those same times. Meanwhile, Cinepolis Lake Mall in Kolkata will screen Avengers Endgame: Encore three times—at 9:00 AM, 4:20 PM, and 11:50 PM, with all venues being Infinity Vision-certified. It is anticipated that more cinemas across other cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Pune, Chennai, and Coimbatore, will become certified in the near future.
The screenings in IMAX and Infinity Vision formats are expected to draw substantial audiences. While standard theaters will include new footage and an interesting opening, they will not present the new post-credits scene that connects to Avengers: Doomsday. That bonus content will only be available in IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified theaters, making those showings particularly enticing.
Ticket prices have been set slightly higher, reflecting the high expectations for the film’s box office success. Fans are gearing up to assemble once again for this Marvel favorite, and it’s clear that the excitement is far from over.
