The first poster for the upcoming film Udta Teer has been revealed, showcasing a unique and humorous perspective on the India-Pakistan relationship. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, the poster depicts him lounging in a hammock positioned between markers indicating the borders of India and Pakistan.
In this eye-catching image, Khurrana appears relaxed with a “Top Secret” file resting on him, while the geographic indicators stand tall on either side. The visual cleverly reflects the film’s central theme of being caught between two nations. Adding a comedic twist, a goat wearing sunglasses can be seen in the background, hinting at the film’s quirky and lighthearted tone.
The poster comes with an intriguing tagline: “Desh Bhakti Yaad Hai, Par Desh Nahi,” suggesting that the film will explore themes of patriotism and national identity through a humorous lens. Rather than offering a typical patriotic narrative, Udta Teer aims to entertain audiences while addressing complex topics like borders and nationalism.
Sara Ali Khan stars alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in this film, marking their reunion after their earlier collaboration in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, which was released earlier this year.
Udta Teer is a project from Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, and it is both written and directed by Akash A Kaushik. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta, with Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain also involved in production, and Raunaq Bajaj serving as co-producer.
Fans can look forward to the film hitting cinemas on October 9, 2026. It is expected to be released worldwide by Dharma Productions, with Netflix and Star Gold also associated with the project, alongside Sony Music as part of the film’s presentation.
