Free Fall Risk Screenings Offered for Seniors in Sheboygan County
Starting next week, seniors in Sheboygan County will have the opportunity to participate in free fall risk screenings organized by local health organizations. The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Sheboygan County and the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health are collaborating to provide these important assessments.
The first screening is set for Monday, August 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The screenings are open to anyone aged 60 years and older, and they’ll be offered at no cost and in a confidential setting. Following the initial screening, additional sessions will take place on Wednesday, August 26, August 31, and September 11.
The first two screenings will be held at the Pigeon River Recreation Center located at 3508 North 21st Street in Sheboygan. The final two screenings will take place at the ADRC, which is located at 605 Forest Avenue in Sheboygan Falls.
The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health encourages community members to take advantage of this opportunity, stating, “Falling does not have to be a part of aging. Learn about your fall risk and how to prevent falls at any age.”
For more information or questions about the screenings, community members can call the ADRC at 920-467-4100. Don’t miss out on this chance to stay safe and informed!
