Vantor Welcomes New Executive for U.S. Government Operations

WESTMINSTER, Colo., August 19, 2026 – Vantor, a leader in spatial intelligence solutions, has announced the appointment of Will Cocos as the Executive Vice President and General Manager for its U.S. Government division. Cocos will oversee Vantor’s initiatives within the defense, intelligence, and civil sectors, aiming to enhance the speed and effectiveness of delivering crucial mission capabilities to military personnel and government operators.

Will Cocos has been serving as Vantor’s Chief Transformation Officer since 2023, where he played a significant role in shaping the company’s strategy and expanding its offerings in spatial intelligence. His experience over the past year includes facilitating growth in international markets, particularly in areas affected by conflict. This hands-on experience has provided him with valuable insights into the rapidly changing needs of modern battlefields and the urgency required to implement technological solutions.

Cocos recognized that as missions become more intricate and decision-making timelines shorten, it’s essential for military personnel and analysts to have access to reliable intelligence. He stated, “My main focus is to ensure that U.S. warfighters and mission operators receive the right tools as quickly as possible. Our dedicated team at Vantor is committed to understanding our customers’ needs, maintaining their current capabilities, and integrating new technologies that can be deployed in real-world conditions.”

Vantor’s AI-driven platform, Tensorglobe™, stands out as a vital resource for meeting these needs. It seamlessly integrates various data sources, using advanced technology to deliver actionable intelligence efficiently. This platform is crucial for diverse mission requirements, including ongoing surveillance, planning operations, and real-time tactical actions.

Dan Smoot, Vantor’s CEO, praised Cocos, stating, “Will combines valuable operational experience with transformative leadership skills. He truly grasps the importance of intelligence in high-stakes environments and has the vision to enhance our capabilities, strengthen customer partnerships, and ensure our technology supports effective decision-making.”

Currently, Vantor plays a significant role in U.S. government operations, providing 90% of foundational geospatial intelligence and servicing over 1.2 million government users across various organizations. Additionally, the company supports the U.S. Army with detailed 3D terrain data for training, as well as assisting NASA in Earth observation efforts during emergencies.

Will Cocos, a former U.S. Navy SEAL officer with combat experience in Afghanistan and Iraq, has also held various leadership roles in the tech industry, including a position at Boston Consulting Group where he guided large-scale changes for major companies.

Vantor is dedicated to advancing spatial intelligence, helping nations and businesses understand and leverage information from space. Through its innovative technologies and trusted solutions, Vantor continues to support essential missions and strategic operations.
