The Indian U20 men’s football team is set to play two friendly matches against Yemen in Bengaluru on August 20 and 23. These games are part of their preparations for the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers. Both matches will start at 4:30 PM and will take place without fans in attendance.
This will be the third and fourth friendly matches for the Blue Colts during their training camp, following two wins against Singapore earlier this month, where they secured victories of 3-0 and 1-0.
Historically, India and Yemen have only faced each other once at this age level, which ended in a goalless draw during the AFC U19 Championship Qualifiers in 2017.
After the friendly matches, the team will head to Tashkent on August 26. This trip is intended to help them adjust to local conditions and continue their training in preparation for the qualifiers. India will kick off their qualifying campaign against Syria on August 31, followed by matches against Uzbekistan on September 3 and Bangladesh on September 6.
