Gracie Hunt Talks Fitness, Faith, and Future Plans on The Riley Gaines Show

Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt had an engaging chat on “The Riley Gaines Show,” touching on her beliefs about fitness, the importance of faith, and her upcoming life milestones. In this episode, Gracie discussed her recent engagement to Derek and the couple’s commitment to marriage counseling before they tied the knot. She emphasized how faith plays a vital role in their relationship and future together.

Gracie, who has a managed celiac disease, shared how her health conditions shape her views on food and wellness. Her fitness philosophy revolves around strength training, which she believes is key to feeling strong and energetic. She also addressed the common misconception that lifting heavy weights will make women bulky. “It’s not true that you’ll become big and bulky from weightlifting,” Gracie explained. “In reality, it helps you maintain a healthy weight and allows for a flexible diet.”

Throughout the past three years, Gracie shifted her focus from long-distance running to strength training, which she finds more fulfilling. Instead of meticulously tracking calories, she follows a simple guideline: if she wouldn’t be able to produce a food herself as a farmer, she steers clear of it. This straightforward approach helps her maintain a healthy diet without stress.

Gracie began her fitness journey at an early age, initially aiming for a career in soccer. However, after suffering from multiple concussions, she transitioned to pageantry, marathons, and strength training, which not only shaped her physically but also strengthened her mental resolve. “Sports empower women,” she commented. “They teach you the importance of health without associating it solely with appearance.”

With a strong belief in the power of physical fitness, Hunt advocates for women to focus their exercise routines on consistent weightlifting paired with high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and enjoyable cardio activities like hiking and walking. Above all, she advises viewing fitness as a lifelong commitment to overall health rather than a short-term goal.

“Fitness is not just about achieving a specific look,” Gracie stated. “It’s about becoming the best version of yourself for those around you. Find something you love, and make it a part of your life.”

This enlightening discussion promises to inspire listeners to embrace a healthy lifestyle rooted in strength training and wellness. New episodes of “The Riley Gaines Show” are available every Tuesday and Friday at 10 a.m. Eastern.
