Collective Studios Announces New Series on Bhagat Singh
Collective Studios’ Historyverse has announced an exciting new project that will delve into the life of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. This original series, produced in collaboration with Hathiramani Commercial Ventures and entrepreneur Manish Hathiramani, aims to present a fresh take on one of India’s most revered national heroes.
The series intends to go beyond the well-known events of Bhagat Singh’s life, focusing instead on the personal journey that shaped him. It will explore his childhood, key experiences, and the influences that sculpted his thoughts and actions, transforming him from a young revolutionary into a celebrated figure in Indian history. By looking at the social and political landscape of early 20th century India, the series hopes to shed light on the evolution of Bhagat Singh’s beliefs and ideals.
Manish Hathiramani marks his production debut with this project, driven by his passion for uncovering lesser-known narratives in India’s rich history through engaging storytelling.
Sudeep Lahiri, who heads Channels and Distribution at Collective Media Network, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Some figures in our history, such as Bhagat Singh, appear fully known to us. However, behind the legend is a young man shaped by his experiences and ideas. We are eager to tell that story. Having Manish on board as a co-producer adds to our excitement, as we are both committed to presenting fresh perspectives on familiar narratives.”
Echoing this sentiment, Manish Hathiramani shared, “Bhagat Singh has always intrigued me, but what captivates me most is the man behind the myth. While many know him as a revolutionary, this series offers a chance to explore the different aspects of his life and the journey that made him who he was. I am thrilled to partner with Historyverse to bring this new viewpoint to audiences.”
Currently, the series is in development, with details regarding its title, casting, and more to be revealed soon. This project will expand Historyverse’s collection of narratives that are deeply rooted in Indian culture and history, aiming to reexamine significant figures and events through innovative storytelling approaches.
