Who is Gautam Rangarajan?
Gautam Rangarajan is a former strategist for the BBC and a musician. He describes himself as a seasoned strategist and creative content producer on his social media profiles. With over two decades of expertise in media and public service broadcasting, he specializes in developing strategies in dynamic markets.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Cambridge and has completed a Non-Executive Director Diploma through the FT Board Director Programme. Rangarajan began his career as a trainee producer at BBC Radio Classical Music in 1993. Over the next several years, he worked his way up through various roles at the BBC, eventually becoming the group director of strategy and performance in 2013. He held this position until last year.
Rangarajan emphasizes his skills in leading major change initiatives and fostering growth within organizations. He is known for building relationships across different stakeholders, including governmental bodies, and adapting to global media trends. Originally from Bihar, Narayan moved to Cardiff as a child. He completed his education at Cathays High School, later earning a degree from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Stanford University.
