A week remains until the much-anticipated release of The Odyssey, and excitement is at an all-time high, especially with Christopher Nolan directing the film. Many fans were concerned about whether the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) would require any cuts to the movie.

Fortunately, there’s great news: the CBFC has approved The Odyssey without requesting any cuts. This means that every dialogue and scene in the film will remain intact, allowing Indian audiences to experience the film just as viewers elsewhere will.

However, it’s important to note that The Odyssey has been rated for audiences aged 18 and over, receiving an ‘A’ certificate due to its content.

On July 9, the film’s creators received the censor certificate, confirming that The Odyssey runs for a total of 172.33 minutes, which translates into 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 33 seconds. The film is set to hit theaters on July 17.

In contrast, Nolan’s previous film, Oppenheimer (2023), was given a U/A certificate with only one audio cut, although the filmmakers opted to self-censor a romantic scene.

With so much buzz surrounding The Odyssey, fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
