Schneider Electric has been recognized as the “World’s Most Sustainable Company 2026” for the third year in a row by TIME Magazine and Statista. This accolade comes from analyzing 5,000 of the globe’s major companies and highlights Schneider Electric’s ongoing dedication to integrating sustainability into every aspect of its business.

The company aims to advance energy technology, focusing on electrification, efficiency, and digital solutions to create a broad impact. Olivier Blum, the CEO of Schneider Electric, expressed appreciation for the recognition, emphasizing that as energy plays a more critical role in driving growth and innovation, the need for smarter energy use becomes even more vital. He noted that energy intelligence aids both efficiency and efforts to reduce carbon emissions, a principle that has been central to the company’s operations for many years.

This year’s award is especially meaningful as Schneider Electric has unveiled its new sustainability plan called Impact 2030. This roadmap focuses on four key areas: electrifying the world, transforming industry, unlocking human potential, and empowering communities. The company tracks progress through measurable goals to ensure accountability.

In the first quarter alone, Schneider Electric achieved an 82.5% reduction in its CO₂ emissions compared to its 2017 baseline. They also reported significant energy savings, with 47.5 million MWh saved or electrified for clients, along with avoiding 20 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions in the same period. Additionally, 14% of major projects currently in development showcase circular and environmentally responsible designs.

Through Impact 2030, Schneider Electric is working closely with its suppliers. In the first quarter, over 1,100 suppliers participated in the Group’s Zero Carbon Pathway initiative, deepening the commitment to climate accountability throughout the supply chain.

In an effort to foster sustainable change in local communities, Schneider Electric reports that more than 2.8 million people benefited from sustainable electricity solutions backed by the company in the past quarter. Furthermore, around 113,000 individuals received training in skills related to energy and automation, increasing the total trained since 2009 to over 1.2 million.

Esther Finidori, Chief Sustainability Officer, commented on the recognition, stating that it reaffirms their commitment to sustainability. She views the Impact 2030 initiative as a foundation to enhance their impact and is eager to push further each quarter.

In addition to being named the World’s Most Sustainable Company, Schneider Electric has also achieved the top spot in Corporate Knights’ Global 100 ranking two times, in 2021 and 2025, and has been on the CDP Climate A List for 15 years in a row.
