Film “Satluj” Removed from ZEE5 Just Days After Release

In a surprising turn of events, director Honey Trehan’s latest film, Satluj, has been pulled from ZEE5 for viewers in India, only 48 hours after its release on July 3. While Indian subscribers can no longer access the film, it is still available for audiences in other countries.

The sudden removal left many subscribers shocked, as the film disappeared from ZEE5’s Indian catalogue without any clear explanation from the streaming platform or the filmmakers.

In its official statement, ZEE5 acknowledged the overwhelming response to Satluj and thanked viewers for their support. They emphasized their dedication to storytelling that resonates and makes an impact. “Your love and support have meant a great deal to us,” they wrote, reaffirming their commitment to meaningful narratives.

The platform further stated, “Due to current developments, Satluj will be unavailable in India until further notice. We are actively working to find a suitable way to bring it back to viewers soon.”

In a follow-up tweet, ZEE5 remarked, “Satluj may have paused. But the conversation it started hasn’t. Thank you for the incredible love. We hope to bring it back soon.”

Satluj tells the inspiring story of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, featuring Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role alongside actors like Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky. Previously, the film was titled Punjab ’95.

This unexpected decision has sparked discussions among viewers and fans, leaving them eager for updates on the film’s future.
