Rajpal Yadav Faces New Legal Issues Over Cheque Bounce Cases

Rajpal Yadav has had a challenging start to the year, recently spending time in jail due to various cheque bounce cases. Now, his legal troubles continue as film producer Prakash Jaju has filed another cheque bounce case against him. Jaju, who once managed Priyanka Chopra, has also involved producers Mahendra Dhariwal, of Bhaiaji Superhit, and Sohel Maklai, known for films like Dhaakad and Cash.

According to information gathered, legal documents show that a complaint against Yadav has been filed in the Dr Ambedkar Nagar district court in Madhya Pradesh. The complaint states that a cheque worth ₹5 lakhs, issued by Yadav, was returned unpaid when it was presented for cashing. The court has directed the actor to appear on September 11, 2026.

In a statement, Jaju confirmed the filing of the case, declaring, “I had lent money to them and accepted cheques for security. When the repayments didn’t come through, I deposited the cheques, but they bounced.” The amounts owed include ₹50 lakhs from Mahendra Dhariwal, ₹25 lakhs from Rajpal Yadav, and ₹40 lakhs from Sohel Maklai.

Additionally, distributor Ankit Chandiramani revealed that he also has an outstanding loan with Sohel Maklai. Chandiramani said that during the filming of Dhaakad, Maklai borrowed ₹10 lakhs, as did director Vishal Mishra. He shared that Maklai made promises to repay the loans but has not done so. Despite returning ₹3 lakhs, he still owes Chandiramani ₹7 lakhs, along with ₹8.5 lakhs to Mishra.

Chandiramani is considering legal action similar to Jaju’s case against Maklai. Attempts to contact Sohel Maklai for a response have been unsuccessful.

The situation remains tense as all parties involved navigate these financial disputes.
