Jai Moondra Shines as Rotterdam Dockers Pick Him First in ETPL Draft
In a significant move for the sport, Jai Moondra, Ireland’s rising cricket star, has been chosen first by the Rotterdam Dockers in the inaugural European T20 Premier League (ETPL) Draft. This follows his impressive performances against India, where he helped Ireland secure a historic 2-0 victory in a T20I series.
Moondra, a left-arm fast bowler originally from India, made headlines by being named Player of the Series after taking three wickets for 32 runs in the second T20I. He also made an unforgettable debut by claiming the wicket of batsman Sanju Samson with his very first delivery. His outstanding displays have made him a standout player leading into the draft.
The Rotterdam Dockers didn’t hesitate in making Moondra their top pick, signaling their ambition for the league. The team also added players from the Netherlands and Scotland to enhance their lineup, including Michael Levitt, Ryan Klein, Vikramjit Singh, Saqib Zulfiqar, and Jasper Davidson.
