Mintage World Launches Unique Coffee Table Book on Indian Currency

NEW DELHI – Mintage World, known for its fascinating online museum highlighting coins, stamps, and banknotes, has unveiled a new coffee table book titled ‘Stamps, Coins, and Banknotes Issued During the Premiership of Shri Narendra Modi.’ This 200-page book acts as a visual journey, capturing significant campaigns and achievements represented through the official currency and stamp releases by the Indian Postal and Mint Departments.

The book concentrates on the impactful initiatives launched during Prime Minister Modi’s first term, from 2014 to 2019. It features important national campaigns such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, the International Day of Yoga, Women Empowerment, Viksit Bharat, Startup India, and Jan Dhan Yojana, all organized in chronological order.

Filled with a variety of stamps—each unique in size, shape, and design—the publication also includes details about coins minted in major facilities across Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Noida. It showcases both daily use coins and special commemorative editions, as well as banknotes produced in various Indian printing facilities. This comprehensive compilation serves as a valuable resource for historians and collectors.

The idea for this project came from Sushilkumar Agrawal, a first-generation entrepreneur and CEO of Mintage World. He expressed that the book is a meaningful tribute aimed at raising awareness about the legal and commemorative tender related to these significant national projects. He added that no other publication presents these initiatives in such a detailed manner.

Mintage World is already preparing for the second volume of the book, which will cover the stamps, coins, and banknotes from Prime Minister Modi’s second term, from 2020 to 2024. This follow-up is expected to be released around his birthday on September 17 of this year.

As an online museum, Mintage World aims to educate the public about the rich history and culture of currency, both ancient and modern. This latest publication is the third coffee table book from the organization. Previously, Mintage World released works such as Global Collectibles of Mahatma Gandhi through Bank Notes, Coins and Stamps, which documents items from 144 countries, and another focused on Endangered Parrots of the World on Stamps, Coins, and Banknotes.
