Thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, moviegoers have become accustomed to staying in their seats once the credits start rolling, anticipating exciting scenes that come after. This trend has gained traction, and even Hindi filmmakers are giving it a try. However, the new film Welcome To The Jungle takes a unique twist by showcasing a scene right after the intermission.
In Welcome To The Jungle, the word “Intermission” pops up on the screen, followed by Akshay Kumar making a surprise appearance, popcorn in hand. He humorously reveals that they filmed a segment but were unsure of where to place it, so they decided to show it right after the interval slate. This is followed by the catchy song “Kyun,” featuring both Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani.
A source from the trade shared that this experiment seems to have been successful. The film had its paid previews on June 25, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Many viewers who had gotten up for snacks or restroom breaks hurried back to their seats upon hearing Akshay’s message, thoroughly enjoying the song that followed.
It appears that cinemas were advised not to turn the lights back on during the intermission or while “Kyun” played, allowing the surprise to land as intended.
Alongside Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani, the film boasts a talented cast that includes Suniel Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, and many others.
This innovative approach in Welcome To The Jungle is certainly capturing the audience’s attention in new ways.
