France Takes on Iraq in World Cup 2026: All Eyes on Mbappe as Les Bleus Aim for Round of 32

France has made some changes to their lineup ahead of the match against Iraq. Three players are out: Theo Hernandez, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Desire Doue. They will be replaced by Manu Kone, Lucas Digne, and Bradley Barcola. Kylian Mbappe will still lead the team, with Ousmane Dembele playing alongside him.

France’s Starting XI: Maignan, Kounde, Upamecano, Saliba, Digne, Kone, Rabiot, Olise, Dembele, Barcola, Mbappe.

Substitutes: Samba, Gusto, Tchouameni, Thuram, Kante, Konate, Zaire-Emery, Doue, L. Hernandez, T. Hernandez, Mateta, Risser, Cherki, Akliouche, Lacroix.

On the other hand, Iraq has also made three changes to their lineup. Jalal Hassan has been replaced by Ahmed Basil as the goalkeeper. Zidane Iqbal will make his World Cup debut after a strong performance against Norway, and Ahmed Qasem has been included in the squad. Ali Jasim and Ali Al Hamadi will not be part of the match.

Iraq’s Starting XI: Basil, Doski, Hashim, Tahseen, H. Ali, Ismael, Al Ammari, Qasem, Iqbal, Bayesh, Hussein.

Substitutes: Talib, Sulaka, Younus, Amyn, Al Hamadi, M. Ali, Hassan, Yousif, Maknzi, Jasim, Yakob, Sher, Farji, Saadoon, Putros.
