Lab Technician Program Launches at Millersville University for Job Seekers

Lancaster-area startup Lab Ready Workforce is set to kick off a five-day Lab Technician Accelerator program at Millersville University from July 13 to 17. This initiative aims to help high school graduates, adult learners, and those looking to switch careers explore opportunities in laboratory science through hands-on training and real-world experiences.

There is a growing need for laboratory technicians in various fields such as pharmaceuticals, environmental testing, food and beverage production, and manufacturing. Many of these positions only require a high school diploma or equivalent, and they offer attractive entry-level salaries along with the potential for career advancement.

Throughout the week, participants will engage in practical lab training, tackle realistic lab scenarios, and develop essential professional skills. They will also receive guidance on resume building and interview techniques, along with the chance to meet local employers who are actively hiring.

The goal is for participants to leave the program equipped with the confidence and skills needed to pursue entry-level laboratory positions. Additionally, Lab Ready Workforce is working to connect these individuals with local employers to help address workforce shortages and cultivate a stronger talent pool in the area.

If you’re interested in applying for this valuable program, please reach out for more information.
