The situation surrounding Kala Hiran: Battle of Legacy is heating up. This film, produced by Amit Jani, has been in the spotlight due to its connection to the ongoing blackbuck case involving actor Salman Khan. The release of the film’s poster sparked conversations, especially due to lead actor Sonu Mishra’s resemblance to Khan.

As the controversy unfolds, several participants have voiced their concerns about the film’s portrayal of the Bollywood star. Recently, Sonu Mishra made headlines by announcing his exit from the project. During a press conference, he explained that he was excited about the role at first but was never given a formal contract. Deeply troubled by the film’s negative portrayal of Salman Khan, he felt it was best to withdraw.

Mishra shared, “I was thrilled to be playing a role associated with such a big star. However, when I realized the intent was negative, I couldn’t be part of it. While everyone has their perspective, showing Salman in a bad light felt wrong to me.”

He emphasized that he needed to understand the script and the contractual terms before proceeding. After shooting for two days, he asked for clarity on the agreement, only to discover that the narrative was biased against the superstar. “I didn’t sign anything, and when I learned they expected me to speak negatively about him, I knew I had to leave. That goes against my values,” Mishra said.

Compounding the issue, Salman Khan and his legal team have sought intervention from the Delhi High Court to ban the film and its promotional content. They argue that the movie infringes on his personality rights and relies on a legal matter currently in court. The court has acknowledged the request and issued notices to the filmmakers, with a hearing scheduled for June 19.

With mounting legal pressures and key individuals stepping back, the future of Kala Hiran: Battle of Legacy is now uncertain.
