Amit Shah to Launch New Digital System for Land Ports
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to launch the Land Port Management System (LPMS) on Tuesday. This innovative platform will provide a fully digital approach for managing cargo and passenger movement at land ports, making them as efficient as those at airports and seaports.
The introduction of LPMS comes as part of the Prime Minister Modi-led government’s initiative to improve border management using modern technology. This advanced system is crafted to unify operations across all land ports, ensuring a secure and real-time exchange of logistics and regulatory information.
LPMS aims to streamline coordination among various stakeholders, including government agencies and private operators. By doing so, it is expected to cut down delays and enhance overall efficiency at the borders.
