Simone Biles Reveals Hospitalization on Instagram

Simone Biles, the celebrated seven-time Olympic gold medalist, took to Instagram on Saturday to share that she was hospitalized earlier in the week. She described the experience as one of the scariest moments of her life, adding a touch of humor by saying, “Almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card.”

Biles did not provide specific details about her condition but mentioned that her husband, Jonathan Owens, was away in Indianapolis for practice during this time. Owens, an NFL safety, recently signed a one-year contract with the Colts.

Despite the frightening situation, Biles has been focusing on her recovery. She posted a photo from her bed at home on Saturday, accompanied by her two dogs, with the simple caption, “I’ll be here.” While she plans to explain more about her hospitalization in the future, she has not disclosed what led to her health scare.

At 29 years old, Biles previously earned four medals at the Paris Olympics in 2024 and has not completely ruled out the possibility of competing in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. For now, her main priority is to rest and regain her strength.
