PHILSME Business Expo 2026 Draws Large Crowd in Manila
Over 10,000 entrepreneurs, business leaders, and exhibitors came together at the 18th Philippine SME (PHILSME) Business Expo and Conference on May 22 and 23, 2026. The event took place at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, part of the SM Mall of Asia complex.
The 2026 expo was marked by a strong interest in face-to-face networking, highlighting the desire for personal connections even as the business world goes more digital. This year’s theme, “Legacy in Motion: Empowering Growth to the Nation,” saw more than 190 exhibitors and over 260 business solutions showcased, indicating that traditional business interactions remain vital.
The event was hosted by veteran broadcaster David Celdran, who opened the expo alongside key figures like Trixie Esguerra-Abrenilla, the PHILSME CEO, and Blesila Lantayona from the Department of Trade and Industry, among other sponsors and business leaders.
A significant highlight was the launch of the PHILSME Business Magazine, introduced by media director Angie Quadra-Balibay. Throughout the two days, the importance of face-to-face connections was strongly emphasized, reinforcing the idea that the PHILSME community is all about supporting and uplifting Filipino entrepreneurs.
“PHILSME is focused on creating an environment where local entrepreneurs can thrive together, learn, and seize new opportunities,” said Esguerra-Abrenilla.
In her keynote address, Lantayona discussed the critical impact of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on national growth. “The legacy of these businesses isn’t just about making money; it’s about improving lives, building strong communities, and shaping a better future for all Filipinos,” she noted.
Looking ahead, the PHILSME Business Expo and Conference is set to return in May 2027 for its 19th edition, as organizers work to further enhance the platform’s role in fostering Filipino entrepreneurship and innovation.
