Sources in the trade suggest that this adjustment followed discussions between Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. Both actors realized that releasing two major comedies so close together could negatively affect their box office results. To prevent this, they agreed to give each film enough space to thrive in theaters.
Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, is set to hit screens on June 26, 2026, featuring a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, and more.
On the other hand, Dhamaal 4 will see the return of beloved characters played by Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, and Jaaved Jaaferi, along with fresh faces like Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, and Ravi Kishan.
The new release schedules now provide both films with a three-week window, which is beneficial for attracting audiences and maximizing ticket sales.
Industry insiders believe this strategic move could make Summer 2026 one of the biggest comedy seasons in recent years, as both films will be marketed as unique events rather than direct competitors.
