Vikrant Massey Joins CRY America’s Gala Series to Support Children’s Rights

New York (TIP): Award-winning actor Vikrant Massey recently attended the CRY America Gala Series 2026, a significant event that took place in five major cities across the U.S. His dedication to children’s rights resonated deeply with the audience, enhancing the overall experience of the evenings.

The galas, held in New York, Houston, Seattle, the San Francisco Bay Area, and San Diego, brought together the Indian community in strong support of CRY America’s mission. Attendees generously donated to initiatives aimed at providing education, healthcare, and protection for vulnerable children against issues like child labor and child marriage.

Each night featured a lively program, including a cocktail hour, appetizers, live performances, a dinner, and segments to honor donors, alongside an enthusiastic pledge session. Bollywood music and dance added a festive touch, while an online auction showcased artworks by Indian artists, fashionable outfits, and exquisite jewelry, further boosting support.

Prominent guest speakers shared their insights on charitable giving and community responsibility. Noteworthy figures included Sree Sreenivasan, CEO of Digimentors, and Sandy Santana, Executive Director of Children’s Inc, who spoke in Houston. Additional speakers across other cities included Priya Priyadarshini from Microsoft, entrepreneur Venky Harinarayan in the Bay Area, and Dr. K.J. Srinivasa, Consul General of India in Los Angeles, emphasizing the power of the Indian diaspora to make a meaningful impact.

One of the standout moments was when Mr. K.V. Ramana, a dedicated social worker, moved the crowd with stories from Andhra Pradesh about his work with the Yanadi tribe. He highlighted the importance of securing land rights to combat issues like child labor and establish child care centers.

Sandeep Bathala, Executive Director of CRY America, expressed heartfelt thanks for the community’s generosity, reiterating that every contribution helps broaden access to vital services and fosters lasting change.

CRY America is thankful to its sponsors, including House of Spices and Allstate Foundation, along with the Gala Committees, volunteers, and supporters, for their unwavering commitment to transforming the lives of underprivileged children.
